The Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) is an interface used to access data from a variety of database management systems. For example, if you have a program that accesses data in a SQL database, Data Sources (ODBC) will let you use the same program to access data in a Visual FoxPro database. To do this, you must add software components called drivers to your system. The ODBC DSN page within Plesk helps you add, configure, and remove these drivers. You access this page, clicking the ODBC Config button on the Server Administration page. To add a new data source connection from the ODBC management page, follow these steps:
After the Data Source Name connection is configured, it appears in the list on the ODBC Management page. You can sort the data sources by name, clicking on the Connection name heading of the list. To search in the data source names, enter a search string in the input field next to the Search button, click Search. The results matching the entered string will be displayed in a form of reduced list. Click Show All to revert to displaying the entire list. To remove a data source name, select it using the appropriate checkbox in the Sel column and click Remove Selected. You will then be prompted to confirm removing. Check the checkbox to confirm and click Submit. |
